You up to do a fresh 7 install in MBR, NOT EFI, Mode?

All your dmp errors are the usual pci.sys that get thrown while using 7 on newer platforms.

Guessing here that 7 does not liked the EFI hand-off from the BIOS. And no. If this is the cause there is no workaround other than simply MBR.

MBR is no different. Try it and report back lease.

you've cut me, you've cut me deep to the bone.
4hr uptime without irq issue.
Last thing i did was reseat this gpu and power cables to and from the psu to the gpu.
I feel like this is a Nvidia issue, at least the last leg of it all.

i'll try to get an irq by pounding on the gpu with some games, youtube, and some streaming with cpu encoding to see if i cant trip it.
If it does then i'm going to try again with a 560ti (wish i had an amd card to see if it was just nvidia or both), if that sh*ts the bed then i'll MBR it up.
i have 2x 120gb ssds so i can rock different configs pretty quickly. one will be win10 so i can show the differece between win7 performance and win10 with cpu , cpu and gpu, and gpu bound tasks.

i've made some pretty unpopular statments about how sh*tty performing windows 10 is in comparison to 7 when it comes to streaming. i need 7 to work so i can show proof.
Only proof i have is the other peoples i7, ryzen and other systems that i've worked onn before with 7 then they upgrade and cant do nearly any of what they used to be able to.
other than the laptops i have/had. but those are all either dead or well dead.

New doesn't mean better, just that you've got something else to sell.

I got most of my issues ironed out.
not enntirelly sure if the remaining bsod is due to win7 + x399 or the used gtx 970
While gaming on this card in both w10 and w7 (on this build) it will play fine then massive frame drop.
The game specifiically i've been testing with is Smite
Max vram used is around 950mb and max core usage is on average 50% at 2560x1080 144hz
game is capped at 150fps by default.
When frames drop they plummmet to about 10-20fps
They actually aren't as bad on win7 though, watching the counter they tend to lock at around 50-69fps  so it's studdering but far more playable when it happens.

I've reseated my gpu, disconnected the power cable from the psu and from the gpu, then plugged them back in so everything is seated correctly.

Here's a HUGE amount of information very neatly made for my hardware, settings, errors, etc..
Can download the zip or hit the folder and view from your google account (most of the items, not sure if dumps can be read there) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mFxaPpbuWmGmYGw2XBHaHqpIwwDE0_R3

I'm still very intent on getting windows 7 to work.
including the bsod issues, it runs far better than 10 has on any machine i've worked on (typically 5 random computers a day if not far more)

who's down to figure this out with me?
Got ideas, theorys, popcorn at least?

Officially, Win7 is not supported. That is a MS issue of it not.

there are windows 7 drivers on the downloads page.
also they have a tool specifically for slipstreaming the usb 3.0 drivers into your windows iso on the downloads page of this motherboard.
Technically speaking before i ran into issues (think maybe i accidentally installed 10 drivers into the w7 install.
I need sleep but i'll give win7 a fresh istall once again and make sure that i'm usijng just the w7 drivers and only the ones i actually need.
wasn't till i installed everything to the very latest and greatest did i get these issues. guessing i grabed something wrong.

this bsod is from ram errors
if u run xmp profile, try on default (2133mhz)
see if that helps
if u will have issues even at 2133, then your ram may not be compatible and u will need to tinker with subtimings

irql_not_less_or_equal BSOD errors under windows 7
I do not want to use windows 10, mainly because the performance for cpu heavy tasks is far worse than windows 7 (tested across massive ranges of hardware as i fix streams for people daily, between 5-15 computers a day 7 days a week).

  BIOS: P2.00
Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core Processor  (32 CPUs)
  Memory: Crucial Ballistix elite 3466mhz 16gb (8x2) (16-18-18-36)
  msi gtx 970
  seasonic focus + 850w gold
  120gb ssd (sata)

A bit sad and really want a fix.
I'm guessing you'll want some dump files, so if you could specifically tell me where and what to paste, i'll get it for you as soon as i can.
or maybe you've had the same issue and already knnow what the issue likely is.
