First try a clean install of Windows 10 Fall Creators update, if you had free upgrade check before reinstall if you have Digital Entitlement by going into Settings/Activation it should say "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account", if its not saying that you might loose your activation after a clean reinstall. Be sure to have the Windows 7 product key on hand when reinstalling.
Please use the "Windows Media Creation Tool" available from Microsoft website to make USB stick with latest Windows and reinstall. If it still fails then try a BIOS update to latest version, to update to latest version go to ASRock website and download latest BIOS for "Instant Flash" then but the file on a FAT32 formatted USB stick, enter BIOS and go to Advanced/Instant Flash and update the BIOS. Please make sure after update to Load Bios Defaults. Also make sure that you have a backup motherboard In case the update fails and the motherboard will be bricked, cause if it happens you will need to order a new BIOS chip. I suggest not to update, but to take the Windows reinstall route detailed above. Have a nice day

Hello and thank you for taking the time to answer me.
in advance sorry for my mediocre English (I write from France). here is the configuration: - OS: Windows 10 (X64) Family-1607 - Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz - Motherboard: ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX - Chipset North Bridge: AMD 780G Revision ID: 00 South Bridge: AMD SB700 - Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE Radeon 7870 HD GHZ Edition 2GB GDDR5 (7800 Series) - Hard Disk: CAVIAR WDCWD5000AZRX-00A8LB0 of 465.76 GB SATA III - RAM memory: 8 GB of total DDR3 memory at 534.35 MHz (2 Kingston 4 GB memory cards) - Power supply: OCZ 550W all mounted in a Zalman tower. Previously I was under WIndows 7. When Microsoft offered the free update to Windows 10 I accepted it. But I fail to update Windows 10-1607 to Windows 10-1709 Fall Creator. So I decided to update all my drivers. And I think the BIOS update could help me install the latest Windows 10 update. |

Do not install any of the CrapWare utilities, also if your PC is working OK you should not update the BIOS, are you using a AM3 or AM3+ CPU?
List complete system configuration please. The BIOS updates for that board only provide improved boot times for AM3+ CPU (FX Series) and Windows 8 or newer There is 1.20 that provides improved system stablity but if your computer is stable and you are using Windows 7 there is no need to update. You will gain no performance from updating to latest BIOS even if you are using a FX Series CPU, maybe reduced post times by about 5 seconds or less in a best case.
