I'm about to just chock it up to my GPUs and their firmware. Updated the firmware on them so that I could get UEFI/GOP for fastboot and I think maybe the firmware is bugging them out or something since it's two different ones.

I don't know though. I don't have access to two other GPUs to test unfortunately.

Hmm, I don't know then. I'm generally stumped. Switching it from Gen 1 and 3 doesn't seem to be doing anything. Also read that CSM/Fastboot could have been interfering with it but I just CMOS reset again and it won't detect my first card. I honestly have no idea what's going on.

Guess it doesn't really matter since I'll end up upgrading my 660s soon. I wrote ASrock and their reply was "Make sure the cards are seated properly and test if the 16x will work with just one card. If that doesn't fix it, return it to Newegg."

cpu has gen3 pcie (north bridge), while chipset has gen2 (south bridge)
if u dont have option for gen3 switch, then u probably looking at chipset settings

that northbridge setting for gen3 should be in this location:
Advanced\AMD CBS\NBIO Common Options\Force PCIe Gen Speed (Gen1/Gen3/Auto)

Okay, so I downloaded and flashed the BIOS. This doesn't seem to have fixed much of anything, though. I boot up with CSM disabled yet still I'm having similar issues.

I was finally able to pull up both of the cards when I switch the "16X PCIe" switch to Generation 1. However, once I switch to Generation 1, the UEFI freezes every time I bring it up and I'm forced to reset CMOS. GEN 1 is the only one that seems to detect both cards, auto doesn't, and GEN 2 causes freezes. I do not have a Gen 3 option.

Once I'm in and have them up and everything, both GPU-Z and Speccy inform me that the Bus for my PCIe first slot (closest to the CPU) is clocked at 4X speed, while the second one is clocked at 8X speed.
If I boot into any other configuration, I'm not able to bring up my secondary GPU. I'm really stumped on this.

Edit--
I'm going to assume that changing the switch to Gen 1 only supports up to a 4X bus and that's the reason my tools are informing me that the bus interface is 4X. I'm not for certain, though, as the switches and generations are sort of foreign to me.

The 650w Corsair, assuming it it doing what it's supposed to, SLI'ing 660ti's is .... adequate.

If I'm not mistaken, the "Patch C" BETA BIOS release May 11 addresses this.

Yeah, it didn't seem to do anything for me either. I'm a little more concerned about the promom-whatever switch. Seems to be when I changed that to Gen 2 that's when my GPU stopped being detected. I'm debating on trying Gen 1 and seeing if that has an affect or not.

on my X370 Gaming k4 the PCI-E switch in bios does not work /do anything. 16x/0x or 8x/8x  Either one i can setup my sli and the cards are working so im not sure that setting is doing anything.

So I posted over there in the Nvidia Geforce forums about a GTX 660ti issue I'm having. I have two of them in my PC and when I had just finished fresh installing, both were detected but didn't seem to respond to SLI. My nVidia control panel didn't have the SLI option it usually does in the "Configure SLI, surround, physx etc." which is located right below "Manage 3d Settings" and above "Display". The cards were used from a previous build. I suppose I should mention right now I have the X470 Taichi (not Ultimate) and two EVGA Geforce GTX 660TI SC (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b767/evga-gtx-660-ti-...)
---Edit: Also, I'm currently rocking a gold rated Corsair 650W. It's brand new. Not sure if that's too low wattage to SLI - my last PSU was 1000w but it's bronze and six years old so reusing it isn't an option.
Because the cards were detected and not going into SLI properly, I went into the UEFI settings and tried modifying the 16x and two 8x options. Since that didn't seem to be working I switched to Gen 2 promonitory switch and immediately pulled up only black screens. At first I thought it had completely ruined my system. After a couple CMOS resets I eventually discovered that I just wasn't getting output to my monitors from my top card. When two cards are installed, I'm only getting output and detection of the bottom card. If only one card is in, I get detection and output from the top card (the 16x lane, the one closest to the processor). I've tried the original bridge from my previous build as well as the bridge that Asrock supplied when I received the motherboard.
16x vs 8x doesn't seem to do anything in terms of GPU detection and I'm a little hesitant to continue messing with the other two options (promonitory switch and whatever the other option is, I can fill that in in a second if need be. They're located all together in one of the bridge options in Advanced I believe)
I posted this in the nVidia Geforce forums and was only told that compatibility between Kepler and x2s seems to be in a bad spot right now. I wasn't supplied with much information in regards to that and attempted to research it with Google searches to no avail.
