either cpu or ram not seated.. first bet is cpu like Tanware said.. beware.. the ram is harder to seat than than one would expect. I've been building PC's and servers for 20+ years.. this was the first board I ever mistaken thought ram was seated when it wasnt...

It sounds like the CPU did not seat properly. You should try reinstalling it. You must get all three clam down screws to start the threads before tightening any of them down. I know this can be a pain but it is a must do. Once you have each started a 1/4 of a turn then use the torque sequence to be sure it is seated properly.

Hello!
I've just got a brand new X399 Taichi motherboard. The problem is when I turn the computer on, my CPU fan starts and then immediately stops. Nothing happens. LED post codes do not light up, no beeps from mobo. I can see the blue led from the gear and my case fans are working fine. Trying to figure out the hardware problem I unplugged everything except 1920x, 8pin, 4pin, 24pin plugs from Corsair RM1000x. Same result. The power supply is working perfectly fine with Z170 configuration. Built configuration inside the case once and on the floor afterwards. Any thoughts? BTW should it post if I take away the CPU?
