ok heres what i would do test both sticks in a2/b2 then check each stick singley in a2 and in b2 then check slot a1 and b1 the process of good or bad result will show you if you have an issue with a ram stick or a ram slot BE WARNED these newer ram slots on the am4 boards and the ddr4 requires far far more force to insert them all the way in correctly that previous ram and slots e.g. triple check its actually inserted properly

So my new x370 motherboard only detects one stick of ram in the A2 slot but not the one in the B2 slot. I?ve watched people install ram into this motherboard so I?m quite sure that they?re in the right slots but please correct me if I?m wrong.
![]() My ram is also new, so I don?t get what?s going on. I?ve switched them around so I know they?re both working, but only one slot is being detected. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-anarchy-16gb-2pk-x-8gb-2-4-ghz-ddr4-dimm-desktop-memory-kit-blue/4842608.p?skuId=4842608 Edited by Haku - 11 Jul 2018 at 12:44pm |
