I did contact Newegg, but I was honest with them about me mistakenly downgrading the BIOS version on the board. They still accepted a return for replacement, though it fell into the category where I had to pay a 15% restocking fee and shipping back ($12.18,) but they decided to cover the shipping 'cause I'm a long time customer. In the end I'll be paying $12 (15% of $80,) which I consider a more than fitting price for screwing up.

I feel your pain. Had a board from Newegg that was supposed to be Ryzen 2000-ready, but ran into same issue you had. (Although, the board arrived that way, I didn't have a chance to break it myself. LOL...I kid, I kid...)
Not to promote a little dishonesty, but I would suggest that you RMA it back to NewEgg as DOA/Wrong BIOS/Unable to boot Ryzen 3 2200G. It'll take a good week or more, but you'll hopefully get back another working one. Once you get it going, I'm sure you'll love the board, and the APU, of course. :) |

The motherboard box has a "Ryzen 2000 ready" sticker on it, which I found out, after it was too late, means its BIOS had been updated after its manufacture. They just didn't bother to cross or mark out the "P3.30" version number on the BIOS chip after updating it, leading to me being misinformed. Well, nuts.
This leaves me with two options I can think of: Get a "boot kit" processors on loan from AMD, or see if Newegg will allow me to return the motherboard for a exchange. Have to find out what each costs and how much of a hassle it is.

The MB mBIOS may has been upgraded prior you take it.
With the 3.3 the 2200G wouldn have booted never. So, when you flashed to the bridge bios, the 2200G stopped the compatibility. Yo need a Ryzen 1st gen or an A-series to flash again the 4.X and be compatible again with raven. The mobo will say 'forever' in its hardware the bios is 3.3. Take care. PD -> I know that reading the asrock support page you tend to do exactly what you do, because the instructions were done at Summit gen, and was impossible to guide wrong a posterior user i.e. a raven ridge or pinnacle ridge user at the bios update process. Because, they must avoid the bridge bios, is only for 1st gen users to get ready with new agesa, xfr+, etc.

Exactly as it says on the subject line: What's the minimum/earliest AB350M Pro4 mobo BIOS (non-beta) version that supports Ryzen 3 2200G?
I ask because I strongly suspect I screwed up badly and flashed my BIOS to a version that does not support the processor I got for my new build. See, it booted up fine once I got it together, so I figured I'd update the BIOS before installing the OS. I saw that the BIOS chip had "P3.30" written on it, so I figured that was the version it was running, stupidly not checking the version in the BIOS setup. Based on that I flashed it to 3.40 in preparation to go to 4.70. Upon reboot after flashing it went into a reboot loop; 30 seconds on, then it'd shut off for a couple seconds before staying on for 30 seconds and repeating. Searched around and found posts with the same symptoms that fit with this motherboard's BIOS not supporting this processor. I just want to confirm if it's that before figuring out what to do next.
