Hi,
Have you solved your problem ? I am facing the same issue with a Samsung EVO 850 250Gb (M2) on the H170M Pro4 MB today. I cannot see it in UEFI. It only showed up a couple of times when checking whether it was well fastened... (don't know why exactly) Will a UEFI update solve the problem ? (Currently 1.00 on my MB) Thank you ! |

The drive needs to be formatted before it shows up in Windows. You first need to check that your BIOS sees it. Then, boot to Windows and go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management
Find the drive in the lower half of the windows and format as NTFS. Once formatted you should be good to go.

I got a 500GB Samsung Evo 850 M.2 SSD (N5E500) and installed it in my computer but it won't show up at all, not in the device manager and not even in the bios.
I updated the bios and went to storage configuration and set it to force M.2 but 2 of my SATA drives vanished and the M.2 drive still would not show up so I had to change it back. I am NOT trying to install Windows to it. It is just going to be a game drive. |
