I've seen a number a post of the subject but none of the resolution have worked for me, so I'm trying a dedicated post.
I have the following configuration :
My problem is that Windows sees the RAM as 32Gb installed and 16Gb usable. The Ram seems to be correctly detected by the BIOS. I have tried to clear CMOS, change the configuration option at boot (maximum memory box is unchecked), test each stick individually, but nothing seems to do the trick. I want to add that before that I had the following RAM: G.SKILL F4-3200C16D-16GVKB (2x8 Go) and I had the same problem (16Gb installed, 8Gb usable), as the RAM wasn't officially supported I changed my RAM kit to the one previously mentioned but I am still facing the same type of problem. I had also tried the same troubleshooting steps : clear CMOS, try each stick individually in each slot, and I was able to boot each time (so the RAM did not seem faulty and neither does the slots). Do any of you know any possible cause or solution to my problem? Thank you for your help. Please note that English is not my native language. Mordak. Edited by Mordak - 03 Oct 2018 at 3:06pm |
