ASRock Fatality Z170 itx/ac
Samsung m.2 950 pro PCIe 3.0 x 4 I installed the SSD into the m.2 slot and in UEIF's System Browser, it recognizes that something is in the m.2 slot but otherwise in Storage Configuration m.2(PCIE) is listed as Not Detected. Later, when I disconnected my Crucial M500's SATA cable, "N1-Samsung SSD 950 Pro 512GB" appears under Boot Priority but is still Not Detected in Storage Configuration. I even installed Samsung's NVMe driver from this page http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/support/downloads.html?CID=AFL-hq-mul-0813-11000170 but since then nothing has changed. I'm not sure it'll even take effect if Windows doesn't recognize the SSD which I suppose it can't since BIOS/UEFI isn't? Also, the SSD feels very very hot and I'm worried about overheating since I've heard of throttling issues with these SSDs and I intend to install Windows on this drive. I suppose it doesn't help that it's mounted directly opposite the CPU on the underside of the motherboard and there's less than a centimeter of still air between it and the edge of my case (Bitfenix Prodigy mATX).

Want to try to get all this answered before my stuff comes in.

I've already watch it. That isn't my exact motherboard. Was asking since this user actually has my motherboard and was clearly having a problem with it.
I know how to use Google. |
