your x670 Pro RS board uses Realtek ALC897 audio hardware and Asrock has the 6.0.9381.1 driver version listed for that board but is now outdated.
try the following newer driver versions for that board: 6.0.9430.1 6.0.9448.1 6.0.9468.1 6.0.9520.1 6.0.9459.1 |

hi. here's my setup
x670 Pro RS, 7950x, 2 x 32GB 5200M RAM and video etc. nothing special there with windows 11 running. My speakers are connected via SPDIF (my sound bar takes optical in). it's been working just fine since day 1 (of 7950x release). Recently, my audio has been glitchy. The sound would either stop working, heavily distorted or anything in between. the only way to get sound back is to reset the PC or change bit rate of SPDIF out (which, i suppose, would reset the audio chip). Since i need audio for my work (work from home), i have addressed it by getting a new usb audio for now (and disabled internal audio). has anyone had any issues with SPDIF audio?? |
