Upon checking ram stats there is a very slight variation in the ram model compatibility found on Asrocks support page for K6 motherboards.

Will this still work?

Differences being what i bought ( model  F4-3200C16D-8GVKB)
DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
Timing 16-18-18-35
Cas Latency 16
Voltage 1.35V

and what the recommended one was ( model F4-3200C16D-8GVK)
DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
Timing 16-16-16-36
Cas Latency 16
Voltage 1.35V

To be precise, I don't see the F4-3200C16D-8GVK in the ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6 or ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6+ memory support list.

I can find the F4-3200C16Q-16GVK model in their memory support list. I was going cross eyed trying to find and keep straight in my mind what I was looking for... Wacko

The only difference between the D-8GVK and Q-16GVK is one kit is a Dual (D) or two 4GB DIMM (8GB) kit and the other is a Quad (Q) or four 4GB DIMM (16GB) kit. The individual DIMMs are the same.

Your question is about the 8GVK and the 8GVKB kits. Your 8GVKB kit will work fine in your board. Even if it doesn't, you could get an RMA replacement from G.SKILL.

The only difference between the two kits is the 8GVKB kit has slightly looser timings (16 18 18) than the 8GVK kit (16 16 16).

These two models of memory are a good example of why a mother board manufacture doesn't test test every model of memory available. The differences are just slightly better binning of the memory chips in the VK model vs the VKB.
