Hi,
Because QVL list for 8GB RAM sticks is very short and outdated for ASRock 980DE3/US3 - both for R1.0 and R2.0, thus I would like to ask for your experience - what 2x8GB (16GB in Dual) RAM sticks can you suggest for this motherboard? I am looking for 1333/1600 sticks. May be faster, but honestly I am rather not going to clock anything above 1600MHz. Thank you in advance for any help. |

I love this kind of memory for this motherboard my friend:
http://amzn.to/2d1Q0nX http://amzn.to/2dln7VZ I am using this (but in 2400 Mhz) in a Extreme 4+ FM2A99X motherboard and G.Skill is making great with Asrock. Edited by hgonzale - 26 Sep 2016 at 3:34pm |

Hi,
Of course any help is much appreciated, however there is one problem with suggested RAMs - they seem to rather have high heatsinks. Because of Noctua NH-C14 cooling I need memory modules that aren't too high. I will check what is the height of my current 4G modules from Patriot, which are causing problems with height are higher than these G-Skills or no. Maybe they can fit... |

Your 8350 is built to handle two 1866 sticks and run w/o OC'ing.
""Supported memory: DDR3-1866"" http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%20FX-8350.html You can use the listings below so long as you use it with a grain of salt. But it will provide you with a beginning with which to search. https://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory/?compatible_with=asrock-motherboard-980de3u3s3#s=301866&E=0&sort=d5&xcx=0&Z=16384002 HTH |
