Hi All! (Sorry for my bad english)
Mainboard: Extreme 3 970 (not R 2.0) VCard: MSI NVidia 1060 (6GB) My PC wasn´t booting after switching my grapicgard to 1060. I haven´t a signal and my other connected stuff also don´t start. The videocard is OK (tested @ an other System) Bios flashed to actual Verison 1.8 In my mind i think the bios isn´t compatible to this Videocard? Is my board too old for new series of graphiccards? has anyone the same problem? Thanks for help! greetings |

Did you forget to plug a 6 or 8-pin power to the 1060? ""my other connected stuff also don´t start"" That bothers me. Are you saying no fans spin up since installing the 1060? I'd first check that I've connected power to the 1060 from the PSU. And speaking of PSU, what is yours and how old is it? |

You had another graphics card in your PC before the 1060, right? What card did you have? Did you uninstall its driver before installing the 1060? Did you clear the BIOS/CMOS before starting the PC with the 1060? What do you mean by, "... my other connected stuff also don´t start.". So nothing works at all in your PC? HDD? Fans in the PC case? What else does not work? What are you using for a power supply? |

No, i dont. I had tried with and without the 8pin connector to boot.
My HDD/SSD start up, i hear it. All other Fans are starting. The Graphiccard is iluminated. But my USB Devices dont light up(Keyboard, Mouse) (I had tried to boot without any external devices - without success)
My PSU has 550W Power and is 4 years old. But i dont believe that is the Problem, because my old graphiccard (AMD 6870) run perfectly in my System for years... |

""in my System for years..."" And that is why I asked for the make/model and how old. I guess before we get along too far with "it's not my psu" we should ask to list out the hardware that comprises your system. We don't ask impertinent questions. These things we need to know. |

The important questions:
Is my board compatible with new craphiccards? The latest available version of bios for Extreme 3 was @year 2012... The latest bios from Model "Extreme 3 R2.0" are from year 2016!! Can i try to flash this Update to my Extreme 3 without R 2.0??? In the Bios downoaddescription: "Improve PCIE compatibility"!!! |
