60 is memory related.

edit: See http://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?id=334

Is that Hyper/X kit ...... NM, I just checked. Kingston doesn't list any mem for the X99 platform above 2666.

Looking at the specs @ http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX430C15PB3K4_32.pdf , theres XMP Profile 2 that runs then at 2666, but you'll more than likely need to adjust VCCSA and VCCIO as they probably do not have the proper X99 voltages programmed onto them. Instead, in guessing as Kingston does not say, and that they're 3000 sticks, they most likely have 170 chipset XMPs.

To quote parsec who has a lot of X99 experience and is a Mod here also:
http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3737&PID=18644&title=unusual-crashing#18644

Quote Usually, Z170 compatible memory needs more VCCSA and VCCIO voltage than X99 compatible memory. You should have VCCSA and VCCIO voltage offset settings in the UEFI/BIOS. You could try using a positive 0.1V additional offset voltage to stabilize your memory.

But 3000? Good luck there bud. I'd use the XMP 2 @ 2666 and do as parsec says. For starters anyways. You will need to adjust those two voltages, no getting around that.

Post back your findings/results.

i did check with parsec . and i thought this memory would actually be compatible. see above posts.

i couldnt get my monitor to come on either. says no dp cable . have the dell u2415.  do i need memory to boot and get into bios?

thanks

I followed that thread.

Problem with a rev. change is the fact that old vs new is most likely, 99.99% sure, there are different DRAM modules used. And with that comes different binned chips used that may or may not represent differing voltages and or timings. And by timings I'm talking the deep secondary and lower timings.

The sticks should run on their XMP Profile 2, 2666, settings after making the necessary voltage changes to VCCSA and VCCIO as parsec intones. But 3000 w/o some serious cooling and tweaking? Again, good luck there on the X99 boards.

And honestly, have you looked at memory scaling on the X99 platform? I have not but I'm guessing since most mem manufacturers top out certifying sticks at 2666 for X99 that either the platform becomes unstable, or the scaling above 2666 flatlines on the platform

Give the advice a try.

In doing so you'll need to enter their stated top timings and RAM voltage, along with VCCSA and VCCIO as suggested. Don't set XMP but instead enter the data manually in the BIOS. Leave what you can't find in the mem specs/docs on Auto.

The below link is what G.Skill; themselves have tested and certified compatible for your X99M Killer.
http://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=52&chip=2276&model=2301

That Kingston PN you're considering, is it on Kigstons list of certified compatible for the X99M Killer?

i did a memory search at corsair.com  its not kingston , its a corsair p/n. for my board and it's one that is compatible for my mother board.  z99m killer its also listed on the supportable memory on asrock memory support list

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20X99M%20Killer/?cat=Memory

i hope this works. will my monitor work after i get the right memory. it didnt detect the dp cable or a signal from the computer.

thanks

Hi,

You need for Broadwell-E a current BIOS immediately on it, otherwise the board does not start.
Kind Regards,
