J Z is talking about a BIOS chip, it is the only way to update your BIOS without being able to flash it.

this can't be very common. i have rechecked the CPU support list on asrocks site, and it indeed says 6800k is supported from BIOS P3.0. wouldn't i still be able to get into BIOS so I can first update the BIOS, even with my 6800K? not sure what BIOS Module is thanks Edited by Aristoc - 08 Nov 2016 at 11:52pm |

Ask if you can borrow an i7-5xxxK or order a BIOS module from the ASRock service.

Hi,
You need for Broadwell-E a current BIOS immediately on it, otherwise the board does not start. |

The below link is what G.Skill; themselves have tested and certified compatible for your X99M Killer.
http://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=52&chip=2276&model=2301 That Kingston PN you're considering, is it on Kigstons list of certified compatible for the X99M Killer? https://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/Options Edited by wardog - 08 Nov 2016 at 7:49am |
