I have this issue regarding a Haswell stock CPU cooler (the 4690k) on my 6600k. I just got a new case and my old aftermarket cooler doesn't fit, so a friend provided me with the mentioned Haswell cooler which shows some issues in my build.
I would like an answer from the moderator named @parsec, as I've seen a post of his, similar to my issue he provided in the intel forums. https://communities.intel.com/thread/103077 The cooler twitches about 3 times, before it starts into around 2000 rpm(around the time Windows 10 is displaying the login screen) I tried installing speedfan but I get wrong reads like 65000 rpm on it. Choosing silent mode in the UEFI/BIOS, is worse, as the cooler does not start at all. The previous aftermarket cooler I had (V8 GTS) worked flawlessly so I assume this is not a motherboard issue, but any help is appreciated. I plan to ditch the stock cooler, once the new Krakens hit the european market, but until then I'm stuck with this issue. Is there anything I can do? |
