Tried several times to clear cmos and it still results in same thing 5 fast beeps
ram switching nothing unplugging and plugging gpu not working checked cpu pins all straight... Bios is newest stable one.. my PC tower is build in way i don't have access to other pcie slot.. without destroying PC.. MB was bought from outlet with dmg to box ... GPU i bought used from guy and it worked without issue with i5 9400f on gigabyte z370.. so my chances to send gpu/mobo for warranty/repair are non existing... |

So you have replaced the 2200g in the system and it works again like that?
Did you try the GPU in the other slot while paired with your R5 3600? We had another forum user with a similar issue that turned out to be caused by the card sagging in the slot, it would work with the PC lying flat on it's side but stopped working when put back upright. The card had been working perfectly until they upgraded their CPU, they must have put some pressure on the card when swapping in the upgrade CPU. Probably not the issue for you but worth checking. Make sure you clear CMOS before powering up with the 3600 installed. AM4 APUs have a habit of storing problematic/incompatible BIOS settings, likely to support the iGPU. Given you are having a 5 beep error it would make sense the board is looking for a different display output other than your RX6600. When all else fails I have often found this method of clearing CMOS can help get rid of nasty gremlins: https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal Hope this helps. |

Hi Akuseko, welcome to the forums.
5 beeps typically means no display detected. Try connecting your monitor to a different output on your RX6600. Failing that, try clearing CMOS. If that still doesn't resolve the issue you can try moving your GPU to the other PCIe slot and testing with it there. If it works there then you can try switching it back to it's original slot. Let me know how it goes. |
