If the old power supply is working perfectly without any issues (not needing to
press on anything to turn on) then the issue is with that newer PSU. Chat GPT is not
wrong if both PSUs have the same issue, that would indicate damaged traces or broken
solder joints somewhere on the board. With an issue like that however, it would happen
with any PSU, not just a specific one.

Maybe I misunderstood your post but it seemed that you said the old PSU worked
without any issues at all but the "newer" one required you to press on areas
of the board to even turn on.

If this is the case and I understand correctly then the issue is possibly with
the 24pin power connector on the newer PSU, check the pins and make sure they
have not deformed and opened up too much so that they no longer make proper contact
with the pins on the board's power connector. This would also explain why pressing
in places might make a difference as it would change the angle the pins connect
and cause contact to be made.

Chat GPT can be useful but I wouldn't rely on it for things like this, it is only
as good as the quality of the question you ask and how it interprets it.
