Clear. I would like to release on Z170 OC formula chipset Z270. The situation is paradoxical, but it happens in the computer industry. Z170 OC Formula, being the flagship on the socket 1151 is better than any releases of the series Z270 Extreme, Z270 Pro, Z270 killer, fatal1ty Z270. Even better is the new flagship ? - Z270 SuperCarrier. Will have to wait. Release Z270 OC Formula. Or company announcements that Z270 SuperCarrier new flagship chipset Z270 on the socket 1151. |

The ASRock OC Formula series boards are the ASRock flagship over clocking mother boards. Can one mother board model be considered the single flagship product for every type of usage? For example, work station type mother boards have features that are not valuable for extreme over clocking. Such as, support for ECC memory, multiple networking chips with 10Gbit speed, with overall stability as a priority. Intel's professional Xeon processors don't support over clocking for a reason, stability. Another example is the ultimate gaming mother board would focus on more PCIe x16 slots, and their placement on the board to allow for SLI and Crossfire. Personally, I prefer the best ASRock Extreme series mother boards. They are for my usage the best mix of features. I'm focused on IO performance, so I want the latest storage interfaces, multiple networking chips, etc, while not paying for support of DDR4 4000+ memory, and features for LN2 cooling. IF ASRock does not release a Z270 OC Formula board, perhaps they feel the difference in over clocking between Skylake and Kaby Lake processors does not require a new OC Formula board. Kaby Lake processors are compatible with Z170 boards, and won't over clock any better because the board has a Z270 chipset. The Z270 SuperCarrier is a new design direction for ASRock, which they may have decided to try, since Intel has changed their Tick Tock processor update model, to a three step model, Process, Architecture, and Optimize sequence. |
