No he never mounted the chip as he is under the impression board won;t boot. I try it later and see what happens.

If you have a compatible and socketed BIOS chip, there's hot flashing.
hehehe I get a mean case of the jeebies every time I do it though. Not recommended. |

Friend has ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7 LGA 1151 he bought on a forum and needs to update bios but he has nothing but a 7700k chip. Wants help from me and I don't have a skylake. Can bios be flashed thru Dos ?? If so I would need some guidance any help available would really be appreciated
