Never CTRL+ALT+DEL to exit from the BIOS. That is asking for problems.

As for "any other time' , look closely at the wiring leading from your case to the System Panel Header on the MB that the polarity of each wire/connection is correct.

Too, is it freezing, or maybe entering hibernate or a sleep mode? Is anything still spinning and or lit up when it freezes?

This board is great.  stuck an i7700 on there and 16gb of corsair ram.  has a 960evo.  600 bronze evga and 970 evga ssc

so the problem is that if I ctrl-alt-del from bios, it will reboot.

any other time it tries to reboot (software install, windows reboot, shutdown, paragon boot disc reboot or shutdown, etc) it freezes right at the point it is going to reboot and NEVER DOES.

Is this typical for this board?  Is there something I can track down/change to get this behavior to correct?

Thanks!
