I cannot install windows7 via usb.
I have tried "Win 7 usb patcher" tool and it will not get past the formatting stage, even after leaving it for hours it does not finish. I tried to stop the process and restart twice but there was no option to stop and as a result 2 of my usb drives are now unusable. Please give instructions on how i can install windows 7 64-bit without an optical drive. |

Choose and follow the instructions from:
http://www.asrock.com/microsite/Win7Install/ The USB sticks can be revived using the below SD tool. I use it here. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ Hint: the sticks must be formatted FAT32 |

Dear mchou16, Greetings, this is ASRock TSD. We perform the test to make sure if the Win7 USB Patcher tool is functional. We prepare a Win7 USB "installation flash" (bootable USB flash not just an ISO file) and can successfully patch the driver to make the USB keyboard/mouse available during the installation process. Just select your Win7 USB disk as target to patch the driver will be OK. We share the test result as below, please do not interrupt the Patcher until you see the "Patching completed" message. Win7 USB Patcher SOP: The latest Win7 USB Patcher V2.0.16 for AMD platform: Copying files from Windows folder: Writing data to USB storage: Patching completed: Thanks! All the best, ASRock TSD |
