@Prodif, maybe english fail? not sure what you are saying.
@OP, I opened up a bunch of manuals for Asrock AM4 motherboards. It seems the HDMI version used across all 300-series boards is 1.4, as manual states "Supports HDMI with max. resolution up to 4K x 2K (4096x2160) @ 24Hz / (3840x2160) @ 30Hz" which is inline with HDMI 1.4 limitations. HDMI 2.0 would allow those resolutions at 60Hz. It remains to be seen if the asrock line of 400 series AMD chipset motherboards use HDMI 2.0.

I currently have one of the asrock apollo lake boards and the whole display port to hdmi 2.0 converter has been a nightmare.

It's sometimes really hard for me to understand your English, no offense. Please try https://www.babelfish.com/ if you're relying on machine translations. |

Not sure why you guys are trying to one-up me, but I can play that game. I opened the manual that was quoted. Here is the line pertaining to HDMI
Then here is a table of HDMI limitations for each version, directly from wikipedia So I maintain, current HDMI version, as described from manuals, is 1.4. HDMI 1.2 would only be able to support, at the max, 2560x1440 @ 30Hz, which is not 4K (or UHD) and better known as "2K" or QHD.
