Just seen on Reddit, various manufacturers BIOS recommendations for
using the RR APU......ASrock X370 ( and others) are a mix of 4.4,4.5,
and 4.6.........Being currently on 3.10....do I have to do each one in
turn to play safe? I realise I must do the bridge BIOS, but for example,
could I jump from 3.10 to 3.6?
I suppose it needs feedback from someone who has actually tried........and the results From what I understand, I could update to 3.6 bridge, then 4.4 latest.............. PS..............I worry too much.... Edited by stree - 11 Feb 2018 at 8:38pm |

It works like you suggested.
Go to bridge Bios and after that to the most recent one. Remember to clear cmos before each flash!

Great............good to have it confirmed.
Thanks! edit: Updated from 3.10 to 3.6, instant flash, after grounding CMOS jumper, disconnecting ( not removing, just lifting 2 pin connection on MB)..........rebooted back into BIOS, set UEFI to default, saved and rebooted......Straight into windows after typical new BIOS pausing...........All seems well.. will run for an hour or so then download and update to 4.4............
