Finally, got the RX 460 to work. But couldn't use the Intel ME update.
The 2.10 BIOS update made it possible for the RX 460 to be recognized by the motherboard. But I won't recommend updating the BIOS if you don't need too. The machine isn't very responsive anymore, even with a RAID 0 SSD setup. The big warnings about BIOS updates are for real. Edited by Nightwatcher - 18 Feb 2018 at 8:54am |

Would you have a link for the newer Intel ME?
Still using Windows 7 64bit OS and this link is giving a 404... http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/others/ME_Win7-64_Win7_Vista64_Vista_XP64_XP(v8.0.2.1410_1.5M).zip I've been reading on how to get the RX 460 to work, and yeah, looks like a literal minefield. ![]() Added: Reading this... http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6667&PN=1&title=intel-management-engine-vulnerability-sa00086 Checked for the vulnerability, and my system isn't vulnerable. Got to this... https://www.asrock.com/microsite/2017IntelFirmware/ But what Intel ME to use for the P67 Extreme6 B3? As the BIOs says an Intel ME is required. ![]() Edited by Nightwatcher - 17 Feb 2018 at 3:34pm |

You may need to update the BIOS. I had a similar issue with a buddys Z77 Pro4 and a RX580, wasn't resolved until we did a reset of the BIOS, updated the BIOS, and installed Windows 10 (which replaced his old Windows 7 install).. The newer UEFI only cards are a pain to get to work on the older boards. As for Intel's ME, there's a newer version of it in the downloads list for your P67 Extreme6, so DL that instead.

Hi,
I'm having a problem trying to install an AMD RX 460 OC 4GB video card on a P67 Extreme6 B3 MB (my HD 4970 finally died after 5 years). Getting an error "d6". Checked that the "d6" code deals with the video card apparently not being recognized. Do I have to update the BIOS to get the RX 460 to register? My BIOS version is 1.60. If I have to update the BIOS, how can I get the Intel ME file, as the link is now dead (404)? Appreciate a heads up! |
