working with this system so far has been simply the most frustrating computer experience I've ever had.
x399 taichi board 1900x ryzen chip Gskill flarex 3200 16gb samsung 960 pro 512gb NVME boot drive a clocked time of ~52 seconds from hitting the power button to windows 10 loading is outrageous. can anyone advise me on a way to speed this up? considering the cpu power & NVME Harddrive i can't understand why this takes so long. even trying to open bios takes ~25 seconds. |

wicuttreesllc, I just powered down then booted my system - specifications at bottom in signature. It took 31 seconds, so I suspect yours will not be quickened much. I am doing nothing to try to reduce boot time. Please open your BIOS/UEFI, hit F9 then F10, then test your boot time. Please complete your specifications in your signature, including your UEFI version, W10 version (like 1709.16299.248-mine). What slot is your 960 plugged? Run a performance test using Samsung Magician: mine
How much memory does the Task Manager say is available to W10? Enjoy, John. |
