Heat Issues J3710-ITX

   I have a number of ASRock M-ITX boards in this series - two J3455-ITXs, one J4205=ITX, one J3455B-ITX and a J3710-ITX.   They are perfect for my application and I have no problems with all of them except the 3710.   The other 4 boards (in identical configurations) idle at 35-40C and reach 55-60C under heavy load.   The J3710 idles at 50C and has reached 90C under load  (and throttled down as a result).  The passive heat sink has always been loose as if the springs are not strong enough.   I removed the heat sink and added some additional silver paste but that did not seem to make any difference.   Any suggestions on any thing else to try?   Is there another, aftermarket heat sink that will provide better cooling.   Currently I have moved it to a case with a 80mm fan located right over the cpu.   That has helped some, but it still runs hotter than the other boards that have just passive cooling.  (And the appeal of these boards was the ability to just use passive cooling.)

	Same issue here. But I just recently noted the heat issues. At idle: 55C at full load: 89C I have this board for about 2 years now and never noticed this heat issue. Yesterday I applied new silver paste (remove the old thermal pad) and added some o-rings on the back of the motherbord so the heatsink is more firmly on place, then i added a 12cm fan. result: not much to gain.. Maybe I need to use a thermal pad instead of silverpaste?

	Edit: Fixed with a arctic thermal pad. Temperature is now under full load max 72C

	Hi, I have an ASRock J3455-ITX. Before any fans on top of the heat sink, the temperature is around 42 to 52 degrees Celsius. Maybe radiation is not good enough. Some air circulation would help. Therefore, I tried several solutions: use a blower, a 3x3cm 2-pin fan, and two 5x5 3-pin fans. Finally, a 5x5 3-pin fan may manage the temperature under 45 degrees Celsius. I also use the hard monitor in BIOS to manage the fan speed to lower the noise. A 3-pin fan can be controlled by changing the voltage. Just my two cents.
