There's no rhyme or reason as to when it may lock from what I can tell.  I've tried the voltage adjustments mentioned in other threads as well, disabling intel virtualization extensions/secure boot etc, no joy.

abc, post a pic of/with the stickers of both sticks of your mem Kit please. Readable.

The end R is for red. It is on the QVR kist which is why I bought it.

Steve, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.

Your mem.

Go to http://www.softnology.biz/files.html and install the Freeware ver of Thaiphoon Burner. Once installed start it and select "Read' there in the middle top. Select a bank that has a stick in it.

Full screen it so that all data is shown in the app. Then at the bottom click on Screenshot, upload that to an image hoster and paste the link here please.

.

Too, try setting them up with/by/using their XMP Profile, BUT, change the mem speed to 2666, Save and Reboot. Any change or still revert to 2133?

nobody else experience similar (or have better results) with this board?

I have tried some more but it always just seems to reset back to 2133 no matter what I set.

BIOS 1.5 (latest) does not help.

I am curious what experiences others here have had with this board.

I have an I5-8400 (yes, no overclocking)
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 4000MHz
GTX 1060 6GB

II bought this memory after buying the MB because it was listed in the MB QVL list.
However, I have yet to get it to even breach 2133 (1067MHz x 2).

I can set it to XMP and choose auto, 4000, 3800, 3200 and while the system boots, the MB is reverting it to 2133 (verified using cpuz, Task manager, HWInfo).
DRAM voltage appears to be working and uses the XMP of 1.35 . I have also tried manually setting VCCIO at various levels from .97-1.1, VCCSA from 1.07-1.1 experimenting and either it did not boot or it came up at 2133 anyway.

Also have tried bios 1, 1.1, 1.2,  (have not done 1.5 yet as I am waiting until I am finished, since that seems to have only updated for M/Spectre thing.

Anyone else have any experience with this board> From reading here it sounds like ASRock is having trouble with memory voltage bios settings and I am wondering if the same issues are happening with other boards.
