Dear Chicksilog,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

For this case, we would like to provide following technical suggestions for verifying:

1. Please refer to the user manual to clear CMOS. (Page 27)

2. Please download and re-install all drivers from the following link. (Note: Please remove previous drivers first.)

3. Please only install one stick memory on A1/A2/B1/B2 slot for checking. Also install another memory with the same step to verify.

4. Do not connect unnecessary devices such as USB devices, ODD, and so on.
Make sure system could boot into OS with the simplest configuration, and check if system would still get freeze.
If not, please install other devices back to the system one by one to check which devices cause the problem.

5. If possible, please change another CPU, memory, PSU for verifying.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD

Hi Chicksilog, welcome to the forums Wink

Is this a fresh windows installation (installed on the same system you are using it with)?

As ASRock_TSD said, a good place to start is to clear CMOS, you can find detailed instructions here:

http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal

Do this regardless of if the OS is fresh or not.

If the OS is not fresh or was installed with an older version of windows 10 (not the latest download) then you will want to download and install the most current version. There were a lot of early bugs with Ryzen and Win 10 that have been ironed out, some of these bugs prevented updates from completing so using the latest install media is strongly recommended. If you are using an OS drive from another system, you will need to perform a fresh installation, migrating an OS from one system to another is almost always problematic.
