Okay lets get this started.

I will be referencing my previous build posts as well as a few other websites as I explain my build as well review mainly the ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer Motherboard.

Here is the link to my build back then when I had just added the TV to the build.

The motherboard I am talking about is none other then the Fatal1ty 990FX Killer Motherboard.  Specs can be found at http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty%20990FX%20Killer/  Gonna give my opinions and thoughts on this motherboard and build at the end of the first post once I have finished writing it and putting my thoughts in order.  I will start out and just say this motherboard is is just full of features that will just about handle anything anyone wants from a motherboard.

I will do my best at the write up, however I am not good at things like that.  I will probably ramble some and jump around as I said, reviewing things is not my forte, however these are my personal experiences with this set up.

The ASROCK Fatal1ty 990FX Killer is just a solid motherboard.  ASRock paid attention to the small details when they designed this.  Personally I like the colors however when I build me a PC I am not looking at that but they are nice none the less.

A couple of places this motherboard stands out is the overclocking abilities it has.  The UEFI bios layout, and the sound is just amazing.  While you may think the FX 8120 BE is old and aging and yes it, I am able to run my 8120 daily use at 4.4 Ghz stable all day long.  While I yearn for a new CPU it is not in the cards moneywise at this time.

THe Purity Sound ALC 1150 chip is just outstanding either through my speakers or gaming headset.  While most sound purist will poo-poo onboard sound, all I can say is this little chip just delivers and it is combined with a 600 ohms headsets and has a 115 db SNR DAC, should more then meet the needs of any gamer, which this motherboard was geared towards.

I have seen a few other reviews ding it is the 8+2 power phase VRMs, I am not sure what ASRock used but as you can see I push the 8120 CPU overclock with no issue.

I do know the killer Nic has both detractors and fanboys, I fall in neither camp.  With a little research back then I was able to use it with and without the killer software, I personally could not tell a difference while gaming.  Now a days you can get the Killer Nic software or just the Kiiler Nic driver directly from the manufacture which is a bonus now.  At one point I did try a pcie intel lan card and honestly could not see any difference in the games I play (MMOs)

All in all, this is one sturdy motherboard that will deliver.

My previous motherboard was a Asus Sabertooth 990FX R 2.0, in my experience I found the this ASRock motherboard deliver better performance, as well as the layout of the pcie slots were just better.

It has more then enough sata slots and the built in m2 slot would be a boon if I actually had one, but alas I live on a fixed income due to a disability, so I hardly get everything I want in my PCs, and generally settle for when I can when something is on a major sale.

Honestly I can't really think of much else to say about this motherboard, other then it is quailty, and since it it the tried and proven 990 chipset it still performs today.

Yes I am eagerly awaiting for the Zen to drop as well as new motherboards, however I doubt I will be able to afford either at the release, until then my old FX 8120 BE will have to keep chugging along.

I will be adding some new updated pictures later today with the new monitor, just trying to think of some cool way to show off the monitor set up and everything else.

Any suggestions on what you might want to see let me know.

Wow thanks man...I try but at times it is hard due to my fixed disability income.  My PC is my main social interaction.
