Hi, im new to all this so might just be me , but i just had a coolermaster cm 240 water cooling system fitted to my machine, when its running the fans on the radiator run flat out ? on further inspectionthis is how its all connected up
waterpump - no31 connector cp fan/water pump fan connector (cpu_opt/w_pump)
radiator fans -no8 cpu fan connector (cpu_fan1)
rear fan - no32 chassis fan connector (cha_fan1)
empty - no01 chassisfan/waterpump connector (cha_fsn3/w_pump)

My question is should the fans run flat out ? the rear fan runs slow and should the fans be connected to the no01 connector or doesnt it matter ? and do i need to just go into the bios and configure the fans ? also when i run the hw software and see the temps it reads in the 70s yet when using cpuz hw monitor it was 38c ? really confused by all this lol

pc system is threadripper overclocked to 3800

thanks

70c is really high, is the tcrtl or tdie temp, tdie temp is real temp, try hwinfo and check again.

I have the cm240 too, but i have a taichi, you need to adjust the fan curve in atunning, because the cm240 donĀ“t have any control software for the pump and the fans, and in the bios in WH monitor set the  settings to silence or standard mode for the cpu fan 1 (radiator fans), and the pump change setting to pump and run at full speed.

The fans at max speed are extremely noisy
