Have had pretty good luck with the Asrock AM4 boards (have a 370 Taichi and a B350 ITX boards now)

Helped a friend build up a system based on the Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4. Thing runs great, but it simply won't boot with the RAM running any higher than 2133.  Its definitely the RAM sticks XMP settings, but I've tried setting them manually to known settings, and it still won't boot.

Using Gskill f4-3200c16d-16gvkb, and they run fine at 2133, no problems at all.  But anything above that simply hangs on boot, and the BIOS downclocks the RAM to 2133.   I tried different RAM (what's in my Taichi) and it runs at 3000 no problem, so its the 470 board and the RAM hating on each other.  The QVL is useless, as it has 1000 entries in it for parts that don't seem to exist either.   RAM has become ridiculous IMHO.

RAM is a commodity item, and in most cases, you can manually set the speeds to run successfully (been doing it this way for 25 years).   Never had problems with Gskil either, but this is ridiculous!

Anyone successfully navigated RAM timing problems here?

those kits aren't in the QVL list

and after searching those are E-Dies you could start looking for other E-Die kits running in 3200 speeds and use those settings

as for manual ram timings its pretty much flexible with B-Dies

try to manually input the xmp timings 16-18-18-38 @ 1.35v and go up to 1.4v

Ripjaws are really old kits so they may need higher voltages
