Hi guys.
First of all sorry for my English.. It´s not my native language.. I´ve a problem with graphic card in my Asrock Taichi x399.. As you can see in the image: https://i.imgur.com/cjXXeoT.jpg i have 3 1080ti graphic cards. On slots 1 and 3 are the "1080ti oc Gaming 11gb" and on slot 2 is the "1080ti turbo 11gb". The problem is that the card on slot 2("1080ti turbo 11gb") is not recognized by windows (i´m using windows 7). But.... i´ve previously have installed one 1080ti oc gaming on slot 2 and the 1080ti turbo on slot 3 and they all were recognized by windows.. So i ask what is the proble here? Why 1080ti turbo is not recognized in slot 2 but it is in slot 3?? Anyone can help me?? |

This sounds like a PCI-E bandwidth issue. Check in your BIOS and there should be an option to set bandwidths for the slots, it could also be that slot (2) is disabled to give more bandwidth to slots 1 and 3. Or it could be that slot 2 is dirty, so clean it with alcohol or something.
By the way, 3-way SLI with 1080Tis is not officialy supported by Nvidia. They're kind of killing SLI nowadays. Edited by RepeatingDigits - 20 Oct 2018 at 10:54pm |

Hi. I use it just for rendering with Fstorm, no need for SLI....
But it figured to turn it all working... I taken it out all 3 graphics from motherboard. Then i put one by one so windows could recognized it, i ws hoping at that time.. First i put "1080ti turbo" on slot 2. turn on pc and the first thing that happen was the automatic installation of the nvidia driver.. Don´t know why, because it was already installed! but worked. i´ve shutdown... than on slot 1 i put one of the 1080ti oc gaming. turn on the pc and recognize it. turn it shutdown again. Installed the second 1080ti oc gaming on slot 3.. turn it on the pc and again recognized.. So, now i´ve have 2 monitors going to slot 2 aka "1080ti turbo" and automatically, i think, for windows,,, and the slots 1 and 3 will be only for rendering... Now it only takes some tests to see if this configuration it´s ok to maintain... Thx RepeatingDigits for the reply.

New update:
After various restarts of the nvidia driver (only the last version work) i finally been tired of such bullsh*t and take off of the motherboard the "1080 ti turbo". I´ve put it for sell.. Now it´s all fine with my 2 1080 ti oc gaming. Roll back the nvidia driver to 378.78 version because it´s more quick in rendering with fstorm... No problems till now.. Eventually in the future i´ll try to install again a third graphic (?¬â‚¬??, but it will be also a 1080 ti oc gaming, equal to the other 2 that i have.. for gpu rendering graphics are never to much. In conclusion, i never knew or understand how why this has happenned. the fact is that the continues restarts of the driver told me that something was wrong.. Cheers. Hope this one helps or give more knowledge to someone.
