Last night i tried to boot yhe brand new mobo. After pressing the start button i saw a light in the case and when i looked i saw a yellow thing burning. I think its over current protector but not sure. Pc was working ok. The PSU was Corsair 750x. Why this would happen? And what is this thing. Click to the link to see the image. I took a photo. https://imgur.com/a/zC3AifR

Wow! Nasty!

It looks like a resitor to me. Together with caps nearby it may be some sort of filtering circuit? I need the mobo or its schematics to know for sure, but it sure isn't a fuse or a 'protector'. Although, everything can be a fuse.

Check if your mobo isn't shorting out somewhere, e.g. some circuity touching the chassis, etc.

Extreme OC can also cause this. Possibilities are really endless.

Anyway, it's RMA time.
