SuperCarrier Aquantia AQN-108 receive speeds slow |

Hello I have the SuperCarrier Z270 and my Aquantia AQN-108 % gigabit network card has been upgraded to the latest 2019 firmware 2.1.18.0 firmware and while I am able to transmit data to other computers at the full 5 gigabits per second, I am not able to receive data from other machines at more than 1.5 gigabits per second.
Other thunderbolt and USB networks adaptors such as the QNA and AkiTio have no problems both transmiting and recieving at the full 10 gigabits and 5 gigabits speeds respectivly so I know the cable is good. It's like there is a bottleneck between the AQC chip and the motherboard but only on the way in. Seeking remote desktop sharing technical support from ASRock please. |

Hello you can mark this as issue as resolved (customer error).
The problem was I was connecting the 5GB port of the Z270 SuperCarrier to a traditional 10 GB switch and not an N-BASE-T switch and thats why the RX speeds where slow. Once connected to an N-BASE-T switch the speeds where reaching 5.0 proper GB speeds for both TX and RX. However I will need to contact support after all because after I found the solution I tried to take myself from the L2.21 Beta firmware from 2017 to the latest 2.40 firmware but the ASRock Windows update tool would not allow it stating that "the update is not for my platform", so then I tried to downgrade to 2.20 thinking afterwards I can take it from 2.20 --> 2.40 which the ASRock Windows tool allowed but when I rebooted the BIOS firmware update progress bar completed but stated "firmware update did not match signature/checksum, try again" and when I clicked to try again the progress bar was stuck at 0 for the longest time and the mouse and keyboard would not allow me to exit so I rebooted the computer and now I bricked the motherboard. Please can anyone tell me how to manually fix a failed BIOS update? The computer just turns on and off, on and off all the time and the Dr. Debug error code just says C1. The BIOS clear button did not help anything. How can I fix this? Please help me save my beloved SuperCarrier. Thank you all. |

"This motherboard has two BIOS chips, an active BIOS (BIOS_ A) and a backup BIOS (BIOS_B), which enhances the safety and stability of your system. Use ?œSecure Backup UEFI??to duplicate a working copy of the BIOS files to the active BIOS to ensure normal system operation. Normally, the system will work on the active BIOS. However if the active BIOS is corrupted or damaged, after several failed boot at-tempts, the backup BIOS will take over. For safety issues, users are not able to update the backup BIOS manually. Users may refer to the BIOS LEDs (BIOS_ A_LED or BIOS_B_LED) to identify which BIOS is currently activated." Having a z390 board with the same system and having investigated the matter, you should try to continue to boot the system. In theory after a number of attempts, the board should automatically switch to the backup bios. Anyway for bios updates you should use the "flash method", that is, copying the "flash bios" files in the download section to a fat32 formatted usb stick, insert it, then going into bios and select the corresponding menu for the update. Oh my goodness, you are right! Thank you so much you have fixed my computer!
I cleared the CMOS using the jumper on the motherboard, I figured why not right? And as soon as I put the jumper back to normal, the computer booted. Then I walked away for 30 minutes and when I came back the computer was back in the original BIOS that shipped with the SuperCarrier! Thank you again so much, you helped me save my SuperCarrier! |
