Hello, I recently bought a A320M-HDV motherboard and it has the very earliest bios version on it, I am trying to update it but not having much luck, when I download the bios from the support section of Asrock I am only left with 1 file after I Unzip what I have downloaded, this file is not a .bin file but is a .00 or .40 depending on the version I download, needless to say that when I try to flash the bios from a fat32 formatted usb stick I just get a massage to say 'image not found'.
I have tried to unzip with both windows zipper and winrar, is there something i'm doing wrong? |

The flash maybe does not work, because the new bios is too new.
Is it the A320M-HDV R4.0 board? What CPU are you using? If it is a Gen1 or Gen2 Ryzen, you should not try to update to a newer version as based on AMD AGESA to 1.0.0.6. Version 1.40: - AGESA 1.0.0.6 Version 1.50: 1. Improve SATA M.2 SSD compatibility with Bristol Ridge CPU 2. Correct CSM control mechanism So 1.5 should be fine With 2.00 the bios starts to support new Gen3 CPUs. |
