Can I update my BIOS to the 3.30 version available on the ASRock website ? Im currently on bios 2.00 and am slightly reluctant to update due to reading horror stories although it involved the older b2 revision board or the older 3.10 and 3.20 BIOS.
I have been plagued by "clock watchdog timeout bsod's" and the constant "100% cpu usage taskbar bug" ever since I installed Windows 10 and/or a r9-280 gpu six months ago. Cpu-z/Gpu-z verification I5-2500k P67 Pro3 B3 BIOS 2.00 Sapphire Dual X R9-280 3GB OC Team 8GB 1600mhz c11/Ripjaws 2x2GB 1600 c8 Patriot Burst 240GB SSD WD Blue 1TB HDD Thanks Andy Edited by ASRock_TSD - 10 Dec 2019 at 3:25pm |

I wouldn't mind the Beta BIOS 3.40 (2018) or the other 3.25 Beta (2014).

SOLVED
at least I hope, ,it seemed to be a problem with voltage that I never had with Win7. Upped offset from 0.005 to 0.01 and also DRAM voltage from 1.5v to 1.53v. I can live with the constant 100% cpu bug Thanks |
