I have the Z390 Taichi.
The A-Tuning utility is nice but does not permanently apply the fan speeds. On boot the fans are not set correctly. The program must be started for the fan speed settings to be applied. Why doesn't the BIOS contain the fan speed settings? Any help would be appreciated. Edited by ASRock_TSD - 06 Feb 2020 at 2:51pm |

Dear ASDude,
Thanks for posting your query to ASRock forum. Could you kindly provide how the A-Tuning settings is adjusted and how the fan speed cannot be applied? Also, is the fan used on the system a 3 pins or 4 pins fan? Which fan header is the fan plugged to? For the fan settings in the BIOS, users are able to find it under the H/W Monitor in the BIOS. With thanks, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 06 Feb 2020 at 2:49pm |

ASRock_TSD,
What I ment by not being permanent was the fact that the A-Tuning program has to be loaded on boot. I thought that the settings from A-Tuning would be stored in the BIOS and that those settings would just work on boot and that the A-Tuning program would not be needed on boot. Anyway all is okay when the A-Tuning program is loaded on boot, but then I just close the program. All is okay! |

Similar issues in Win 10 anno Jan 2021
A-Tuning's 'Apply settings on startup' does not seem to function unless manually 'Apply' after boot The reason to use the software is a dropdown bug in the Bios under CPU fan sensor option. Instead of the CPU temp it has the MB sensor option due to a copy pasta programming mistake Asrock X370 Taichi - 1800X - with latest Summit Ridge 5.60 bios Already filed a few bug reports left and right as well as in a recent thread to pick things up It would be nice if the bios settings were working so the software is not needed after finding the correct curves |

Giving it another bump
- A-Tuning needs manual click on "system info" and re-apply every single fan setting for the saved profiles to work - Latest BIOS for X370 Taichi with 1800X has a broken sensor selector for CPU fan The 5.60 BIOS is needed for RAM fixes. Tried every trick in the book. Seems the BIOS is just broken and A-Tuning needs a software engineer too. This platform was used to improve on later CPU's and many promises to fix it one day, but it never happened. Back then it was the expensive package, but left for scrap while it is still an actual system to work with. Specially with current hardware shortages and COVID. Please I beg you please let a software specialist look at this for a few hours. By searching the internet I found more people having similar issues and find substitute software for control, however you should provide the working solution. Thank you |
