I've been using this mainboard for the last 4 months without any problem. Then yesterday this sh*t started and my Intel NIC adapter was not recognized anymore. I tried the PSU unplug thing but didn't work.

What worked for me:

- update BIOS to 2.50 (optional)

- reinstall Windows 10 and all drivers (optional)

- reset CMOS by removing the Battery for 10 Minutes (I don't have a cap for the CMOS Jumper)

After this everything seemed fine until this morning when I started my computer and my adapter was gone again! So basically it lasted yesterday for a few hours and today same problem. Actucally now it's working again! You wonder why?

That's what I did today:

- unplug PSU cable and switch the button from 1 to 0 waited a little bit and turned it on.
- also I switched some USB cables around

Now it's working again. I wonder for how long. I really hope ASrock can fix this issue soon with some driver updates. Also I suggest that we all submit tickets to ASrock to speed up this process. I already submitted a ticket.

I have the same issue but I suspect that the issue is with particular USB Ports and the Ethernet port using the same resources with the USB taking priority. I submitted a detailed ticket with ASRock, which will most likely not be read or understood.

System Info
--------------
Motherboard: ASRock X570M PRO4
CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 3600
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Model F4-3200C16D-16GVKB
Video: MSI Radeon RX 5500 XT MECH 4G OC 4GB 128-Bit GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 HDCP Ready

BIOS: version 2.50 2020/3/9
OS: Windows 10

Based on forum posts that I read, I suspected that there is an issue with Ethernet and USB. I unplugged the USB Keyboard and Mouse from the rear of the PC and rebooted the PC with no USB devices connected. I powered off the PC for about 1 minute and turned it back on. Once Windows loaded, I connected the USB Keyboard and Mouse to the front USB ports and logged into Windows. I checked device manager and the LAN (Ethernet) showed up. I then installed the Intel LAN driver. I don't know which USB Port(s) cause the issue with the Ethernet port. Hopefully I will get a helpful response from ASRock but I will not hold my breath. I asked if there will be a BIOS fix or if this cannot be addressed by a BIOS update. I also asked them to specify which USB ports impact the Ethernet port.

ASRock needs to do a better job documenting shared resources. I ran into a similar issue with the M2_1 slot. It apparently cannot be used if there is a card in the PCIE1 slot.

I'm facing the same issue with X570M Pro4 bought very recently. Onboard NIC is completely dead. Retailer failed to get any information from AsRock.

I just submitted a help request directly to AsRock but in the meanwhile I can't recommend buying this motherboard. I've never had a similar issue in the past 20 years of building PCs.

I have the same problem with a new x570m Pro card.

Every time the problem occurs, I open the case and reset the CMOS memory.

I opened a report here : http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=12550&title=x570m-pro4-lan-hidden
butnobody helps me.
Can AsRock solve this problem for us?
Otherwise, new users should be told not to buy this mainboard.

Yeah, I'm coming to the opinion that these Asrock x570 boards are just not up to the job, unfortunately I have no choice as they make the ONLY x570 mATX board :(

Which is a shame as it's garbage :(

Did you update to this version?

Does the LAN Port LED show anything whin you plug in the cable?

In the bios, there should be an entry for enabling/disabling the ethernet controller.
Check the following things (don't know if all are available in your bios):

Advanced\AMD CBS\FCH Common Options\XGBE Configuration Options
Advanced\AMD CBS\Soc miscellaneous
Advanced\AMD CBS\Chipset Common Options

This worked for me sort of... I did this found the adapter and then put the rest of my drives and memory and the system would not boot. Spent a bunch of time and finally just returned the board. Switched for another board (and different manufacturer - but i have had good luck with ASRock in the past). Had the system up and running and software reinstalled in less then 5 hours. If you have this issue, I would suggest you change the board, it will save you a lot of headaches.

Hi all,

unfortunately I am experiencing same issue on my x570m pro4 asrock. However I was not able to fix it even with the solution provided on this forum (deepsleep etc.) Do you guys think it is going to be fixed in the future with new BIOS version or what is causing my PC to not see any Intel adaptors in device manager whatsoever :/

Cheers and thx for response

That fixed the problem and in my 40years in IT that has to be the most.....fix I have ever seen. Let's hope this is a permanent fix since I need this new PC for work.

Thank you for your help.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I have a case with support and they had me clear the cmos. No joy. Frankly I'm fed up with X570 boards. This is the 3rd one I've had trouble with right out of the box.

Nothing I do will enable the onboard LAN adapter.
