Hi,

I would like to draw on the collective wisdom and experience of the group.

I have just built a new system that looks like this

ASROCK X570M PRO4 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU
Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK32GX4M2B3200C16 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz DDR4
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB System Drive

I have a problem in that the system does not recognise my preferred GPU, yet it will recognise, and run with an old ATI Radeon X1300 card that I have had lying around.

I want to install an NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 1030 DDR4 card, but the system does not see it on startup (not recognised by the BIOS). I tried a Gigabit NVIDIA GEFORCE 730 card as well, and it wasn't seen either.

Both the 730 and the 1030 work on another (Intel based) system that I have.

I have updated the BIOS to the very latest (which caused me to lose my Realtek sound support, but thats another story). I have stripped my system to the bare bones (Motherboard, CPU, Memory, SSD and GPU).

Memeory is in two DIMMS installed in A2 and B2

Does anybody have any suggestions
best regards
Pete

Have you tried the lower PCIe slot? You will not lose any noticeable performance with those card(s) on the slower-lower PCIe slot
