PC asks me to insert media to boot
PC came with no media CD/DVD or drives for same Hard drive only PC or board seems to need help to find device and/or its boot instructions?? Can hit F11 at a certain point to get some options for an EFI Shell or another choice I felt might be hard drive based on alpha-numeric naming starting with WD (Western Digital?) Any helpful thoughts? |

Dear AdaOz,
Thank you for posting your query to the ASRock forum. When a hard drive is installed and the system asks for the media to boot. There are three possibilities that can cause this: 1. HDD/SSD does not have OS included. -Install the OS. 2. HDD/SSD is broken. -Try checking if the HDD is working on a different system. 3. If your HDD has OS installed but shows the message: -Try installing the HDD to different SATA ports. -Try different SATA cables. -Try the HDD on a different system. With thanks, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 11 May 2020 at 10:31am |
