I own an ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX-ac, and there's quite a bit of new (to me) BIOS nomenclature and obtuse feature descriptions...
Just one example are the "DEVICE FUN" options seen here; I assume "FUN" means function, but there's no documentation of what device or function you're modifying: All I've been able to discover is disabling these either renders the system unbootable, or disables display output, and it just gets weirder and vaguer from here -- any good documentation on these AM4 BIOS settings -- anywhere? |

So no one knows what these ASRock settings are for?

I initially thought these were related to SATA or USB ports, but if disabled I can't even get the BIOS screen to post...
Again: doesn't anyone here know what these are for? They're available on many ASRock AMD motherboards so it's not like these are unique to the Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX-ac... |

Maybe you should try TROLLING on some other forum where there are people dumb enough to think you're witty... |

and what do you know GOOGLE had the answer ............
Active-state power management (ASPM) is a power management mechanism for PCI Express devices to garner power savings while otherwise in a fully active state it seems the options are to control power to the pcie rails eg device 1 to be honest i debated for quite a while even to reply to help you , your quote and responce to RLGL was extremely rude when he made a good suggestion like the rest of us here we give our time freely trying to help strangers, we should not accept ABUSE ............. |

And what you should know, is GOOGLE does not have the answer, it is a search engine, it only offers search results, what what ever results your citing (you provide no link) apparently does not document this device or function these ASPM settings are being applied to as there are several places in the ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX-ac BIOS you can adjust ASPM Settings.
Yes, I'm familiar with ASPM... This doesn't answer the question of what device(s) or function being enumerated here that ASPM settings are being applie...
I appreciate your effort, but what "seems" may not be the case, especially without any evidence, and there are other ASPM setting in the Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX-ac BIOS that appear to do what you describe.
To be honest? Is this usually not the case? My response was not rude and "try GOOGLE" was no more a "good suggestion" than "RTFM" to someone that obviously has.
Absolutely, you might also see much more constructive results if you were to endeavor toward a more objective, honest, less feckless and duplicitous use of the word "ABUSE"... Clearly, after months of this thread appearing on these forum sfor ASRock products, no one here reading the thread actually knows the answer or willing to make the effort to provide it. |
