I got the motherboard, CPU, RAM, etc. today.
I assembled everything, but the motherboard keeps beeping (continuously). I dissassembled and reassembled everything 3 times, but no luck. Any idea what the issue could be? Continuous beeping isn't listed in any ASRock beeping codes list I managed to find. Thank you.. |

The continuous beeping is a RAM related issue.
After various tests, I found out that the computer will only start if I have one memory stick installed, moreover in Slot B and not A, since if I install it in sloat A I still get the continuous beeping. Same goes with both memory sticks installed. Moreover, the BIOS shows the "Auto" memory speed to be setup at 2133Mhz, whereas the memory is 2666Mhz. The XMP profile shows 2666Mhz. The memory is compatible with both the CPU and the motherboard: Corsair CMK256GX4M8A2666C16 Is it a faulty motherboard? Or should I try to install different RAM? |

Dear Ivnmad,
Thank you for posting your query to the ASRock forum. Please try the steps below: 1. Install the first memory modules on both A2 and B2 slots to see if the system will beep. 2. Remove the first memory module and install the second one to the A2 and B2 slots to see if beep will occur. 3. Try reinstall the CPU. 4. Refer to page. 20 in the following link to clear CMOS. https://download.asrock.com/Manual/H410M-ITXac.pdf 5. Please try with the BIOS 2.10. With thanks, ASRock TSD |

Hi Asrock_TSD,
Thank you for your reply. I tried everything you suggested, but no luck. I bought a BM460M motherboard and with the same identical components (RAM, CPU, SSD, etc.) everything works as expected. The problem must have been with the motherboard (e.g. maybe a bent pin on the CPU?), and I'm trying to return it to the supplier. Kind regards, Ivan |
