Not able to get any sound to my headphones when plugged into the front headphone jack on the case.
Here is the setup Windows Pro Ver 10.0.19042 Build 19042 Cpu AMD Ryzen 5 3400g Latest all in One AMD Driver Latest Real Tech Audio driver both drivers downloaded from Asrock A300 site. 16 gb memory G.Skill ripjaw ddr4 2400 I have searched in the forums here and tried everything I can find including changing settings in the Bios (Southbridge setup, enable speakers)right no. The speakers icon in the tray indicate I have sound, Troubleshooting asked if I could hear a beeb and I did. Trying to get sound from youtube and it's just not working. Tried streaming some online radio and no good. Don't know where to go from here. Any help appreciated. |

You probably tried this already, but just to be sure, have you checked if the front panel sound is plugged into the motherboard correctly?

I have looked at the layout of the board and see that there is an " Audio header (Audio 3)" and then there is a "Mono speaker header (SPEAKER 1).
As it is now both of those headers do not have any plugs in them. Have I missed something setting up this board? So far the only plugs I have connected are a system fan and System Panel header. |

I just looked at the motherboard and case and I noticed that the front panel input is built into the motherboard, so no separate audio plug there, my bad, sorry.
This means that worst case scenario the connector is broken, - or it could be that it's either a driver incompatibility; - or maybe the headphones (or whatever you tried to connect) jack is broken; - or you may have just selected the wrong audio output from windows (go through all outputs and see if any of them works). Best of luck! |
