Hello
I have recently set up a PC with an ASRock B450 ITX motherboard and since the start my computer didn't boot systematically when I turned it on. Most of the time I need to press the on/off button like 10-20 times to get it running. When it doesn't work, it boots and instantly shutdowns. Here is my configuration: Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac AMD Ryzen 2700X MSI GTX 1050 TI Aero ITX 4G OCV1 Nvidia GeForce GTX PCI Express Crucial 500Go CT500MX500SSD4 SSD interne MX500 (3D NAND, SATA, M.2 (2280) HyperX Fury HX424C15FB3K2/16 DIMM DDR4 (Kit 2x8GB) 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL15 1Rx8 SilverStone SST-ST45SF v 3.0 - Série SFX, 450W 80 Plus Bronze => changed it by Corsair CV Series CV450Watt, 80 Plus Bronze So I tried without RAM, I tried with 1 RAM, I even changed the power supply but nothing. Also I realized when it shuts down, I cannot even reboot it using WoL. My BIOS config sometimes is reset after several "non-ignitions". Finally I tried even with the latest B450 firmware, same behavior. Do you have any idea? Thank you |

Looks like RAM training failure during POST procedure. However seeing that your RAM is already 2400Mhz, I might suspect faulty RAM. I am yet to see any AMD system fail to boot with 2400Mhz ram, since troubleshooting default is 2133Mhz. I would advise you to download Memtest86, put it on USB drive and test your memory several times.
Also, make sure that memory sticks are seated correctly and in correct slots as per how manual suggest it to be one. In BIOS its worth trying to set the XMP profile to enable, which should set your RAM to correct parameters and hopefully stabilise things. BIOS resetting to defaults also indicates failed Memory training, so after 3 failed attempts of memory training/short test, system flags the memory speeds as unstable and reverts the bios to default settings. |

Thank you muziqaz. all ok with memtest86.
Seems like setting the XMP profile solved it. Cheers! |
