760gm-hdv Motherboard graphics no HDMI output

   Recently bought an 760gm-hdv motherboard to use as a baby server with a spare CPU and RAM sticks. All is working fine with one exception:

No PCIe graphics card Installed, using the built in Radeon 3000 on the MB. I can£�t figure out how to get the BIOS boot messages  on the HDMI port, only on the VGA, haven£�t been able to test the DVI-D port. 

The manual isn£�t exactly helpful on this topic.
