Asrock z490 Aqua GPU problem

   When I go into BIOS and chipset configuration, then go into select primary graphics adapter, the only options I get are Auto and On board. There is no PCI Express option. Also I get no signal when my GPU is connected, and can only use the motherboard with on board graphics. Please help please. I have reset cmos and updated bios, still nothing
