I just did a new build with the ASRock "B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax". At power on all I see is the "ASRock" logo in the center of my screen. I can't seem to get into BIOS.

I'm using the Ryzen 5800X both of which I picked up this week. Is it possible this motherboard did not come with a supported BIOS? I put the latest BIOS version 1.61 on a USB Flash drive (formatted FAT32 as it said). I can't get it to update.

Please help what do I do?

Thanks.

Yes, Zen 3 wasn't fully supported until BIOS 1.5. You can POST with a Zen 3 CPU with BIOS 1.2, but you'll need to update to 1.5 for full support.

I bought my board in October and it shipped with BIOS 1.0, even though 1.2 was released in August. Check for a sticker on the mobo side of the I/O shield, that should tell you what BIOS version was installed at the factory.

Thank you for the response, I was able to hold F2 and load into BIOS so it must have been a setting somewhere that wasn't right. Once in there I updated to BIOS 1.61 and loaded optimized defaults, then added XMP profile, saved and rebooted. Everything perfect now on my 5800X guess I got lucky.
