How can I know if my mainboard, b550m itx \ ac, supports the new generation 16Gbit ram ddr4?

that is simple....fill it in and youll see if it will POST, if it doesnt post, bios update will be needed, as ryzen all gens supports it

what do u mean with "new generation DDR4" there is no new generation.

however u can check here

https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B550M-ITXac/index.asp#Support

click on the MEMORY QVL for the CPU u have and it lists all the ones that are tested compatible.

cpu supports it, but mainboard will need bios update if its not yet supported
