Hello,
I Wonder if it is possible to connect a chassis fan on CPU fan connector (1x3-pin), because I'll have 3 chassis fan.
Thanks

Hey Xaltar,

But do you know if this CPU_FAN (1x3-pins) is separate to CPU speed fan or not ?
Because I wouldn't like that my chassis fan speed dépends to CPU speed.

I hope it's clear...

Both of the CPU fan headers only monitor the CPU temperature, which is why they are called CPU Fan headers.

Only the CHA_FAN2 header can be changed to monitor the mother board temperature on the Z270M Pro4 board.

I know you don't want your chassis fans to speed up with the CPU temperature, but that is exactly the situation where you need more cool air brought into the PC case. But if quiet is more important than the best CPU cooling, you will not want the chassis fans to speed up with the CPU temperature.

Also, each fan header has a power limit for the fan(s) connected to it. All fans use a different maximum amount of power, which is usually on the label of the fan. You need the total of all the fans on one fan header to be less than 1 Amp, or 12 Watts. Some fans use less than 0.1 Amp of power, others might use 0.2 - 0.5 Amp of power. What fans will you be using?

Hello parsec,

Thanks for your answer.

For me, quiet is more important.

I'll be using Fractal Design Dynamic GP-12.
